Cat & Dog X-Ray, Ultrasound, & Lab Diagnostics Veterinarian in Schertz, TX

A thorough approach to understanding your pet’s health is the key to providing them with the best care. At Schertz Animal Hospital, we have many diagnostic tools on hand to evaluate your pet, from cat and dog X-ray imaging to our Sonovet ultrasound equipment and in-house lab testing. We also offer FreeStyle Libre diabetic patches for our patients.

Since our pets are unable to communicate how they are feeling, it can be challenging to catch subtle signs of illness or developing disease. Our on-site equipment and connections to veterinary specialists give us an edge in diagnosing and treating your best friend, so we can help them stay healthy and keep you well informed about their needs.

We recommend routine blood, fecal, and parasite screens for dogs and cats. Contact us today for an appointment!

X-Ray & Ultrasound for Dogs & Cats

Our X-ray and Sonovet ultrasound imaging equipment provides our team with a detailed inside view of your pet. If we need to check their bones, joints, heart, or lungs, we use X-rays. For abdominal concerns, we may turn to ultrasound. Both of these tools give us critical information about your pet. They also allow us to send your pet’s images to board-certified radiologists, who can provide detailed reports and an extra layer to the care we deliver.

Laboratory Testing

Schertz Animal Hospital also has an in-house Idexx lab for running routine blood, fecal, and parasite tests. When we need comprehensive and complex fluid panels, we send out samples to Antech for detailed review. Our in-house test results can often be obtained same-day, especially if we need to do testing for an urgent medical concern.
