Our Community Involvement
Schertz and the surrounding communities are incredibly important to us. We believe that healthy pets set the stage for thriving communities by bringing joy to their families and everyone they meet. Our veterinarians and staff members often volunteer at several area rescues and shelters, and we support many other community events and fundraisers.

Celebrating Duncan: A Very Special Longtime Patient
Duncan has been part of the Schertz Animal Hospital family since he was a puppy, and over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into a remarkable service dog with a meaningful impact throughout the San Antonio community.
After years of dedicated service, Duncan received a special sendoff when the San Antonio Spurs honored him on the court during his retirement celebration. Seeing one of our longtime patients recognized for the lives he has touched made us incredibly proud.
We’re grateful to have been part of Duncan’s journey from puppyhood through retirement and honored to celebrate a dog who has given so much to the people around him.
